Welcome to our new chamber series! This fall, we introduce German cellist, Benedict Klœckner as he collaborates with NOW’s Artistic Director, Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez and our musicians. The program opens with one of the most Romantic pieces of all time, the third movement from Rachmaninoff’s Cello Sonata, then introduces our audience to an exciting new piece, The Legend of the Noble Knight, written for Benedict by Mexican composer José Elizondo. The finale is the beloved, timeless Rococo Variations by Tchaikovsky.

This program will have two performances: one will be a free community performance at the Wheaton Branch of Montgomery County Public Library on Friday, September 8. (This program will contain only The Legend of the Noble Knight and Rococo Variations.)

The second performance, on Saturday, September 9, will be part of a new VIP chamber series at Natelli Woods Bethesda! This limited capacity series is designed to provide an up-close-and-personal experience with our musicians and world-class soloists. We are all about building connections through music, and you will have a rare opportunity to create personal relationships with artists that make NOW what we are. The performance is bookended by a social hour, with wines, appetizers, and great company. Mingle with fellow music lovers and enjoy the power and beauty of music in this exquisite venue.
